In the late 1960s, Sérgio Abreu became one of Brazil's most prominent classical guitarists, both as a soloist and in a duet with his brother Eduardo.
In the early 1980s he focused on guitar making and now he is probably the best in Brazil at this craft.
Much of his play was performed on the 1930 Hauseer, the same instrument José Romanillos used as the basis for the three instruments built in 1973 (one for Sérgio, one for his brother Eduardo, and the third for Julian Bream). This model of Hauser also had a major influence on the work of Sérgio.
This guitar was built in 1990. Its notes are homogeneous and well defined; the bass is deep, the treble is clear and precise. It is a very lyrical instrument with great musicality.
